    I began my career in the investment business in 1993 as a fixed income broker. Two years later, I joined A.G. Edwards as a retail investment advisor.

    Prior to joining Irongate, I was the lead advisor of RSM McGladrey's Wealth Management Group in Davenport, Iowa, one of the larger practices in the firm. I also served as Chairman of the Wealth Management Leadership Advisory Council. At McGladrey, I specialized in working with business owners and high net-worth investors to create customized financial plans and investment strategies.

    In addition to advising clients, I am also the Chief Compliance Officer at Irongate International.

    In 1998, I sold the firm and joined Deloitte, where I would become a partner and help establish its national investment consulting practice. This practice, which focused on high net worth clients and their families, grew rapidly during my tenure. There, I sat on the practice's national management team and headed the practice's largest and most productive region overseeing more than 2 Billion in assets. I also served as a member of the national investment research team.

    After years of experience in the industry, I started Irongate International, L.L.C. in 2001.

    Research Analyst & Associate Advisor

    I joined Irongate International in 2018 as a Research Analyst and Associate Advisor, primarily analyzing investment managers, hedge funds and mutual funds. I am currently a CFA Level I Candidate.

    Prior to joining Irongate, I was in the private practice of law for almost a decade, specializing in securities law (including private placements, initial registrations and SEC reporting), mergers & acquisitions, estate planning and trust administration. My law practice involved working closely with business owners and senior executives in various stages of their working lives, often including the sale of family businesses and the transition into retirement and subsequent intergenerational wealth transfers.

    Before completing law school, I held my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, serving as an Investment Consultant for a major broker/dealer.
